Don't Shoot the messenger.... just delivering the news:

Yildiz is not new. Academy Sports has been selling their lower price point field guns for years with great success.

Below are few articles and videos. I found the Shooting UK article to provide great insight on the production of this gun which is made in an entirely separate facility.

My best estimate for cost is around $3K.

They only need to hold up like TT15 to beat Tristar.

People interested in TT15 mostly because the value of all those features, if this gun will offer those features at similar prices, I'd buy a Boss system gun instead of a Browning under bit principle gun any day of the week.

Another thing, if they're smart, they should made parts interchangeable with Perazzi, that'll take away buyer's biggest worry about future service issues because Perazzi has so few parts, so easy to fix and easy to overhaul.

Finally someone from a less expensive product maker willing to disregard their well established tooling for Browning design and adopting the Boss system.

When I interviewed Garrett Bader, the guy who heavily involved in the design of Tristar TT15, and questioning why a new production competition shotgun still utilize the Browning system, he hesitated to answer until I said: Was it because the tooling was set up that way from the beginning?
He finally said yes, its cost driven.

I'm glad to see this new shotgun is based on Boss system.

I think Yildiz has perhaps attempted something that may end up bitting them in the rear-end, I think they lack the quality control and attention to detail for such an endeavour. ..you get what you pay for, ..they dress it up with high-end walnut, slap on a low MRSP and find a niche beginners market,..resale being very very low I'm sure.
The idea is great of course,.... a well established company like Browning or Beretta should of launched a decade ago. Browning\Beretta could pull something like this off with outstanding quality and a little higher MSRP than Yildiz of course, but can back that up with reliability and quality (maybe not the high end Turkish walnut).
Keman failed at this, and they had a good quality gun, price point was too high. Other Italian gunmakers are attempting similar "Perazzi" like guns at lower reasonable prices,...interesting where this will go with so many people copying this design.
Target shooters want quality, period.!!...make a Perazzi clone at half the price with the same quality, and you may have the end to that fabled gunmaker.....good luck.

The Yildiz may quack like a duck,..but it ain't no duck
:)

Here's one of many contenders,..but with quality ! ( 6K price )

But, keep in mind that it's not a Perazzi design to begin with. Perazzi copied the design from other English and Italian gun makers who copied that design before them, leading all the way back to the original designer, John Robertson, who used to do out-work for Boss & Co., and who later bought Boss & Co. He also developed the iconic Boss single trigger.
Spanish makers have copied British designs for a very long time, and in many cases, make the guns as good or better than their British originators. In fact, many driven bird shooters use Spanish built Best Guns.
So, while we like to think the design is Perazzi's, and that only they can do it right, many great companies have also copied that design, and there's no real reason the believe that it cannot be done in a very fine and exacting fashion. Many companies probably use the same branded milling machines. Maybe this company will botch the QC on the gun, but we shall see.
In my opinion, the strongest locking system for an O/U is the Merkel double under-bite with the double Greener (another copied design) crossbolt up top.

"Its got a silver trigga..."
Loved the video of David Florent. I laughed the whole way through; the way he talks is hilarious.
The old guy in the first video, well, I can only understand about 40% of what he's saying.

The gun? Who knows. They WILL probably face an uphill battle selling the Yildiz name to trapshooters who are accustomed to finer guns.
