I received a phone call last night from Perry Depover (Paul's Son) that Paul had passed away yesterday morning at his home in Marshall, Minnesota.
Paul's wife, best freind & partner, Arlyis had passed away three years ago. They traveled around the country to various registered shoots together for a lot of years and always looked forward to the next weekend when they would hit the road in the motorhome headed for one of their favorite Gun Clubs and of course a Casino if it was near by.
He was absolutely passionate about trapshooting and the freinds the sport had given to him and his wife Arlyis through all the years that he participated.
All of you that have had the pleasure of knowing this Husband & Wife and being at their motorhome after the days events were winding down that 5:00 pm was cocktail time every day and that didn't change after Paul retired the Trap Gun.
A dedicated husband, father & grandfather, Paul would beam every time he spoke of his family and the joy every member had brought to his life especially his granddaughter.
Paul was a World War II Veteran and served our country toward the latter part of the war as a Seabee, I believe in the South Pacific. Paul was always very proud of his service to this country and being a part of "The Greatest Generation".
I was told that visitation and funeral arrangements are pending.
Rest in peace my freind.
