SOLD--SOLD--Parker lovers--here's a nice VHE 16 ga gun that is just the way you like to find them--NO alterations or amateur gunsmithing! This gun is a mid-30's gun made after Remington had purchased Parker Brothers. Serial number 239952. Like most Parkers of this era, the dimensions are very shootable without excessive drop at comb and heel. This gun shows use, but all of the finishes are original. The barrels are 26 inches long and choked light mod and full. The blue is 85% with speckling here and there from less then perfect storage.--see pix. No pitting. The bores are excellent. The ejectors work fine. The screws look untouched. The LOP is 14 1/8 inches. The drops are 1 1/2 x 2 5/8 inches. The straight grip stock has 80% finish, nice grain structure and the factory dogs head buttplate. No cracks! Straight grip Parkers are far in the minority, quite desirable and a delight to carry and shoot. Case colors, to my eye, are about 20%-conservatively. Others might rate is higher. The gun weighs 6lbs--11oz. Factory chambered for 2 3/4 inch shells, you can shoot any modern ammo in this gun without issues. A fine upland companion or fun vintage clays gun--you decide! This gun is ready for the next 75 years of use. Treat yourself for the New Year! $3750 delivered in the lower 48.
