Is this a new (or existing ) rule in ATA

As of September 1st, ALL handicap 96’s are an automatic 1/2 yard punch. This allows us to match the current updated Letter of Agreement with the ATA at the beginning of their target year. Additionally, for Multiplex, yardage will be earned at the local club using the current PITA earned yardage tables, instead of using the combined Multiplex Scores.

As indicated, it’s a change to how the P.I.T.A. does things so that cross registration of those scores to a shooter’s ATA history can be accomplished without issue.

I received a yard for a 96 in 2018 at the Grand. There were enough entrants for the one yard punch.

This is not a change to the ATA rules.

It is a change to the P.I.T.A.'s rules.

Just as with the ATA Rule Book, you're allowed to read the "letter" posted in the OP.
