Thank you for the photos. There are several Civil War "Experts" on TS.com one in particular who was Curator at the Florida Civil War Museum. In saying that I can give you an interesting piece of history about the Civil War pictures. I have seen all of yours before. The reason is that there aren't a lot of pictures, or, negative plates that survived past the 1860's and because of that there weren't a lot of pictures that survived. Someone discovered that the thousands of negative plates were a good size to replace greenhouse windows. Therefore, that's how most of them were lost. This fact came from Mr. Shelby Foote appearing in Ken Burns, Civil War. Very interesting.

again, seems to be at war with itself, non shooting but very tragic. Very divided country. I'm
a senior and have never remember it so bad.

Being from the Gettysburg area, I have always been a Civil War buff..great photos

I'm more of a WW2 weapons buff, but cool pics none the less. The pic with the cannon barrels and balls kind of got to me. I'm one of those guys that anytime I have the opportunity to hold a cannon ball that's 3 inches or more, I always want to throw it and see how far it goes. Yeah, I know I'm a dork!
