John. A side shot would help. Does it have doors on the side ? Its usually linkage actuated. Its been a few years since I worked on one of those.

Move the minute hand forward and watch the linkage.

A nice piece to have as most are German.

My mom and Grandmom had these & kept them wound every day for, what, 40, 50 years? Reminders of the fatherland.


I've still got that G.D. sound drummed into my head & will remember it on my deathbed. I wanted to shoot them (the clocks, that is).


My Dad said he was never so happy as the day they got "put away."
