I am curious what it would be like to set up to throw doubles on a trap that was oscillating. I would imagine if you were to narrow the spread of the 2 targets, and you could set a the machine to oscillate through a smaller arc than singles. Kind of think it might be fun. Has anyone tried this? Is it possible?

Sure it's possible. It's even done on occasion.

Even more fun is wobble, oscillating doubles.

Wobble oscillating doubles is the most fun that you can have with your clothes on!

Of course your scores will suck ... but who cares?

Had a small club west of here shooting them from a Remington 4100.

For those who don't know, you had to hand set them after the machine oscillated. (they only move when fired.)

Must have been fun.

We have a winter wobbles series that consists of shooting 50 singles, 50 HC with the yardage based on the singles result, and 25 pair doubles. This is shot at a different club each month for three months. It is great fun but it is strictly for laughs and a chance at a few bucks on a lewis score.

Some of the low double pairs are just about impossible to hit the second target before it is in the dirt - you have to get there fast! All and all, its a fun waste of ammo.
