This is the result when two armed assailants tried to hold up an off-duty Aurora CO. deputy sheriff. The suspects shot first and the police officer returned fire putting a bullet fired from his gun directly into the barrel of one of the attackers guns. The one suspect survived (darn it!) after being wounded by the Deputy and the other got away.

I do not think there can be any question about this shooting being justified!

For the record, was an Arapahoe County Deputy. Incident happened in the city of Aurora which has it's own PD. Arapahoe county is a very large county in which cities of Littleton, Aurora, Centennial and Watkins are in. It contains a total of 30 cities, towns, census designated and unincorporated areas. The Deputy's have a huge area to patrol.

But yes, one hell of a shot for this off duty LEO.

Too bad the deputy didn't put that BB in the right, or left, eye of the bad guy.
