17Sooo, how many did you hit?
When I read the rules a yea ago they were allowed but ISSF rules change OFTEN ! t seems that in fact they have since been banned !According to ISSF Rule 9.4.2.1
“Semi-Automatics & pump action shotguns are excluded “.
meaning not allowed in ISSF competition.
Just fyi-
They may be allowed at a local competition but not if it’s an ISSF sanctioned event or qualifier.
Ya shoulda tried shooting mixed trap pairs when it first came in. So many rule changes in 4 years, and then-BOOM-the ISSF dumped it from the Olympics and brought in mixed skeet pairs. When I read the rules a yea ago they were allowed but ISSF rules change OFTEN ! t seems that in fact they have since been banned !
I am beginning to think they should write the rules on an Etch a Sketch as often as they change them.Ya shoulda tried shooting mixed trap pairs when it first came in. So many rule changes in 4 years, and then-BOOM-the ISSF dumped it from the Olympics and brought in mixed skeet pairs.
It means the Olympic winners from Tokyo will always hold the Olympic record, as well as being the ONLY people to have won it at the Games.
The ISSF drove me mad when trying to keep up with pistol rules. Shotgun ain't much better, but at least they haven't messed much with equipment rules, mainly with "conduct of the event" rules.
Still very annoying.
