Old MEC 400 brass wad finger replacement part

So I've been using and old MEC 400 for the past 8 months and it's been a great machine to use and get a firm base on how reloading works. In those 8 months you can imagine some things wear out and come loose. I noticed that the rim of the hulls started to roll after putting in the wad with the loader and I decided to investigate. Turns out, 2 fingers from the brass wad finger guide have broken off causing the rolling on the hull. I've been trying to find a replacement part for it while I wait for my next reloader to get shipped in. Does anyone know where and how I can possibly get a replacement part so I can not have to put wads in by hand. The number of the part I'm looking for is, 453-12, I will attach the picture of where it's at in the parts list from the manual.

Mec ,Texan, Herters, Lyman all the same. Try ebay. Mec orange fingers should work as Hornady Pacific white fingers.
is this what you are looking for? I am about ready to put them on ebay.

My 9000's all use the plastic now.

Good Luck.

one was trading my killer 1964 GTO for a "dog" 1967 GTO. Other 3 would be concerning ex wife and 2 bad girl friends.

My 1968 green 400/360 GTO got hit at a stoplight with me in it. Same getting fingers stuck thru top of 400 wad guide. Brass fingers were from the paper/felt wad times, watch they cannot cut the plastic wad base. As said, Mec orange or others will fit. I have them in 12, 16, 20, .410 and fudged 28. Make sure the crimping sleeve part #448 is there if you find one. The Herters 403 press is the same basically as a Mec 400. Herters used their 1 inch bar with 3/4" powder bushings and 7/8" shot bushings I believe before Mec went to the powder bushing bars we now know. Same single stage hole spacing. If you see a Mec "T" bar, red and 1" squart, "T" stamp in usual place, that takes Texan powder and shot bushings, powder about .800", about same size as a Mec powder bushing flange, and shot 7/8" bushings.
I pulled the trigger on my Daisy Red Ryder with the handle open. (I was 11 years old.)

Still remember it 72 years later.

If you get the Mec orange (thought they were red) or Hornaday white you’ll likely never replace them again, or a least for several years. The nylon/plastic outlast the brass by quite a bit. Also somewhat kinder to your finger, if that interests you.
