Greetings & salutations !!! I hope everyone is safe & well in this new crazy!!
Well, I am looking for an obsolete part for A Hornady Apex-91 Std, 12ga press.
I need the 12ga Shell plate, Yup, the plastic one. Hornady part # 170105
I know I will have a better chance of finding the Ark than this part but, love the press.
Any leeds or info greatly appreciated.
Take care & be safe... Larry

I have been looking online for 3D models or blueprints for this part.
Without a 3d model,which I don't know how to create, 3D printing isn't really an option.

Contacted Hornady they will not release any dimensions or blueprints.
Without a print of some kind it's tough to reverse engineer but that is what I'm currently working on.
The part is plastic, worn and broken so just guessing on some dimensions.
In my spare time I'm writing a cnc milling machine program to make a new one out of aluminum.
If I can get a working prototype. Could possibly make a few extra for others.

The white plastic is 1st prototype aluminum is 2nd try.
Plastic one worked but not quite right.
Still have to try out the aluminum
Had to guesstimate on some of the dimensions.
Looking good, there are a ton of broken machines out there. Maybe some guys tossed em cause they couldnt get parts but with you and others that tinker, there is hope.

I made me a new platen for 16. Also made 16ga final crimp die. I use a supersizer so all I need to do is knock the primer and I'm off to the races. So now I have a 12 & 16 plated for the 366.
I also have another brand I converted to a sixteen. Which I like so nuch better. The 366 is good if you got one load to only to use.

I've got an NOS part, but unfortunately you have to get to 50 quality posts before we can do business... maybe we can talk later on...
