Greetings from the beautiful state of North Carolina. It is that time of the year again to look at trapshooting in NC during 2007.

We have a preliminary listing of confirmed shoot dates at the website above. Hopefully we will have the entire 2007 season posted by the end of the month. www.nctrap.com info should be up to date in the very near future!

We have included the 4 shoots that will be held at our Homegrounds near Bostic NC. They include the Dogwood Open in April, State Shoot late May early June, Hall Of Fame in September and the newest addition the Fall Handicap in November.

If you see this thread popup it is because we have posted information promoting trapshooting in NC. We appreciate the comments that are included and they ae welcomed.

Thanks for looking:)

Due to beautiful weather beyond our control the following non-registered shoot will be held this weekend.

The Rockingham Gun Club near Reidsville NC will be holding a Lewis Class Shoot (non-registered) this Saturday January 6th.

Festivities will begin at 10AM - we will be shooting 50 singles and 50 handicap targets. Handicap will be shot 1 yard beyond your normal established yardage.

Last shoot we had a skeet shooter wear us out and who knows who will win it all this time!

For more details just mash on the link above and for club location go to http://www.nctrap.com - <>

The picture above was taken December 29th at the Rockingham Gun Club near Reidsville NC.

The timber was removed to allow for the construction of two more skeet fields and the realignment of the existing skeet field.

The timber equipment was removed Saturday and this will be the first shoot after all the work was done.

We have assembled a preliminary non-official list of NC shoot dates on the website above. Some of the dates could be changed and we have a few more clubs to report.

With all the nice weather in NC some clubs might hold shoots that won't appear on the original list.

Everybody have a great weekend!

Chatbrat - the site above lists all of the locations of the NC clubs. I will pass your suggestion on to the webmaster for that site.

saint60 - yes BGC will be holding a registered shoot the 28th. Missed you and Ted at the Lewis Class Shoot today. JC wore us out with a 49-46 for a 95 at 83 years young.

Chatbrat, the postal address for the physical location of the Rockingham County Gun Club is 572 Long Branch Rd., Reidsville, N.C.. The problem is that the club is located in Ruffin, N.C., not Reidsville. The USPS in its infinite stupidity assigned Long Branch Rd. to Reidsville (about 5 miles away) rather than to Ruffin (about 1.5 miles away). We have had people ride for an hour or more around Reidsville, looking for Long Branch Rd when it is not even in that city. The Rock is actually easy to get to, provided you don't go into the city of Reidsville lookng for it.
