Noble Vectan SV powder is given a burn rate that of CLAYS.
I put together a load:
Fed. Gold Metal hull,..Cheddite 209 Primer ..12so Wad, ..19.5gr. Vector SV, ..1 oz of #8 shot.
I choreographed this load, which went down range at 1330 fps (+/- 7 - 8 fps).
Much too fast, I shall adjust.
Felt recoil was surprisingly light for such a heavy load.
Question, Has any one here had any experience with this Noble Vectan SV powder?

I think you chose the wrong powder. SV is described as "Ideal for 12ga ⅞ oz High Velocity,Low Pressure Target Loads". And, indeed, all the loads I can find are for SV are for 7/8's. AS is the powder for 1oz loads. Here's a load that may work for you:

Federal Gold Medal
Ched209
AS 19.5
Federal 12S0

1225fps @9000 PSI

PS - I think you meant chronographed , not choreographed

Don`t know where you got that load data. Prima SV is for 7/8 oz. loads. You are most likely over pressure. You want Prima V for 1 oz. loads.

The following is Vectan Published Load Data from the PDF Below:

1 oz. Federal Gold Medal Fed 209A Federal 12S0 PRIMA V 19.5 gr 1200 8,700 PSI
P R I M A V
VECTAN
SHOTSHELL RELOADING
SHOT HULL PRIMER WAD POWDER CHARGE / VELOCITY / PRESSURE
12 GA. 2 3/4, PRIMA V POWDER, LEAD SHOT, FOLD CRIMP
Ounce Grains FPS PSI
1 oz. Federal Gold Medal Fed 209A Federal 12S0 PRIMA V 20.5 gr 1250 9,200 PSI
1 oz. Federal Gold Medal Fed 209A Fiocchi 27 PRIMA V 19.5 gr 1250 10,200 PSI
1 oz. Federal Gold Medal Fed 209A Fiocchi 27 PRIMA V 20.4 gr 1300 10,800 PSI

Here is the latest Vectan Data:

Buster,
What exactly does "I put together a load" mean?
Where did you find the data that supports your load, that you put together?

Perhaps I should use that term "Assembled" this load.
In any event I used the powder burn rate chart provided on the Noble Powder web site.
Clays is listed with the same burn rate as Noble Vectan S V.
Using Clays loading data as a starting point...This resulted in a vol. of 1330 fps if memory serves.
My next set of test shall reduce the Vectan SV charge 1/2 gr. Keeping all other factors the same until I arrive at the desired Vol. of 1200 fps.

Are you nuts? Or maybe completely out of your mind? Your the kind of guy that's going to end up dead or worse yet, killing someone else!
Read the data on that powder and only load whats printed you fool! "YOU CAN NOT LOAD BY COMPARING BURN RATES OF ONE POWDER AND USE IT FOR ANOTHER"
Your a danger to the entire reloading community!

Buster,
Do you read? A fellow loader has posted the Vectan Reloading Manual for you.
There is not ONE SINGLE 1OZ LOAD LISTED FOR THE POWDER THAT YOU have decided
to play Dr. Chemist with! You must be a real genius because you know more than the factory!

The idiot had the marbles to PM me and ask me to be civil!
Do you believe this clown?
These are the ones that give reloaders a bad name.

The bad thing is, some newbie will read this thread and try this load or something "close enough" to it and hurt themselves or others. There should be a test before being allowed to reload. I hope ol Buster doesn't shoot in KS or MO...one thing, I wonder how many of these clowns shoot the Grand?

Dear Jerry,
Please excuse me if I offended you. That was not the intent.
The problem lies with cute little cartoon characters, this generally
does not translate to anything of importance, let alone danger.
