I purchased a beretta 692 x trap last August, really like the gun but the recoil pad doesn't fit into my shoulder ideally, any recommendations on different pads to Try? It has the stock beretta on it currently. Any advise would be appreciated.

just about any recoil pad is better then a factory Beretta pad!
BUT go with a GOOEY!!!! just store it in case or up side down...I don't even trim mine... and swap it around to other guns too... slotted wholes work on a lot guns.
Kick EEZ or Gooey, though some people complain that the Gooey is to soft and the stock moves around slightly. If it doesn't fit into your shoulder well you might want to think about a pad adjuster or pitch change also.
I always use pachmayr decelerator, triple magnum or classic white line trap pad which is what I have on now. I have had others mentioned and always went back to a pachmayr.
If you're a veteran, kick eez has 50% off there patriot pads. They are the same as all the other pads that they sell except they're red. On top of that, kick eez donates $5.00 of every purchase to a veterans organization. I just bought several pads and paid $22.00 each!!! Check it out!!!
Don't think you can go wrong with either Kick-eez or Gooey. I've used both. Currently have kick-eez fit in the pocket of my shoulder a little better and more consistently.
One of the things that needs to be taken into consideration is whether you shoot "pre mounted" as in ATA trap and NSSA skeet, or whether you shoot "low gun" as in International skeet and sporting clays.
Some pads will work well with one style, but the other. I shoot both styles depending on the discipline I'm shooting, and I've found that Kick-eez pads work best for me.
KickEEZ will give you the longest wear and the sorbathane is easy for do it yourself fitting. Talk to the folks at the factory or website for best fit and go from there. I have nothing but good things to say about that company & their very helpful folks. Also, they are a contributing sponsor of the Save A Pair breast cancer fund raiser at PSSA's annual benefit shoot, where we raised over $40,000 for the Cause last year.
Best kept secret in trap shooting is the XLT Ultrasoft Magnum Pachmayr Pad. Would not use anything else. Go to lymanproducts.com and click on brands and open pachmayr and go to recoil pads. You won't be disappointed
Well I took the gun down to doug Braker yesterday morning, he shortened the stock a tick and installed a kick eez pad. Wanted to put a Jones adjustable on it as well but there was not enough to remove without hitting the comb. he does excellent work, gun Fitts me alot better thanks for the help.
