Just took a 2500 mile trip in my new Ram 4x4 . Got 26 on the interstates with cruise set on 75 to 80. Six banger with the 8 speed ZF trans. 5 mpg better then my Hemi with the 5 speed did on the same trip. I has all the power I need. The 8 speed helps the 6 cyl take off quite robustly. I don't tow much nowadays and really don't need the Hemi anymore. It actually feels faster then the 4.7 v8 Ram I had before the Hemi.

Lug,
I have a 2013 Ram Crew Cab with the Hemi and 8 speed and 3:21 Rear. I get about 21MPG highway at 70 MPH. A huge improvement over my old 4.7l V8 Ram. which was around 18. The 8 speed is really nice.

My 5.7 Hemi Challenger (2012 Classic Package)with 17,000 miles on it has averaged 21.4 MPG.

This is the average for the 17,000 miles, NOT highway overdrive mile per gallon.

My wife's 1996 Oldsmobile 98 Regency Elite...is still like new and gets 34 miles pg (in overdrive on the highway).

I took her in to look at the new Chrysler sedans...she elected to keep her Olds...says the constant shifting of the 6 cylinder, 8 speed transmission would drive her crazy...lol! Saved me a bundle...go figure.

Beautiful trucks! I just wish they would do something with the metal pretreatment before paint..all the 5+ year old Rams in this area have rust issues starting or well under way because of salt

2013 ford F150 just round trip to Monterey Ca 230 miles each way looks like 20 mpg. Nice being able to make trip without fuel stop. 55--72 mph.

3.5 Eco boost twin turbo engine. Fwiw.

With that kind of mpg, you will put the refineries out of business. My 2012 Impala 300 HP only gets 32 mpg @ 75 mph.

Lugnutz,

Are you relying on the on board computer or doing the math after a fill?

Wife's 2013 Durango's computer is about 10% higher than using miles between fills and gallons at fill.

Even if computer results, very good mileage.
