Every club I've shot at gives you 27 per round, and it's never an issue, and you nearly always have a pretty good accumulation at the end of the day on the box.

Have you found it the general practice that the accumulated targets are shot at the end of the round or session?

It is sometimes a little bit of a pain when you're shooting by yourself, and you burn through your first 3 or 4 rounds of spares (6-8 targets) just getting the targets set,

I would call that more than a pain. I could see where tokens would be fine IF the club had targets set before the squads get to the fields. Setting targets shouldn't come from 'token targets'.

As far as getting help when you start getting broken targets? Well, that would depend on if the the Emperor of the Traps happens to be there when needed, and if he could be bothered.
