Need help valuing my Winchester 9422 XTR, F4871XX (1981?). It just sits in the safe, and it's time to move it down the road. I think I've owned the thing for maybe 20 years. It's been shot, maybe 200 rounds. Won't say it is perfect, because you can always find a flaw. The wood is beautiful and mark free. Bluing likewise. I found a pinpoint flaw on the very front of the receiver at the dovetail, probably from a scope mount. That's about all I can find. Need to put a number on it so it will be a fair deal and sell. Don't want to give it away, but want to move it. Any marks you see in pics are camera reflections only. Thanks much.

Blue Book means nothing on these rifles. Since the close of Win. In New Haven, priced on the 9422 and 9422 magnum have skyrocketed. A superclean XTR should bring $650-$700.

Forget the Blue Book on this rifle. Last one I bought, 3 months ago, paid $685.00, same condition, older model with no checkering. Fair price. Kens quoting fair market $$, just depends on how badly someone wants. I've been looking for a decent Model 42, but everyone who's selling thinks they are extinct and worth billions.
