Just came back from Birmingham Gun club and took both of my boys out to shoot. Mark wanted to play from the 27 and so we shot a round and he shot a 15. The next group went out and invited him to shoot with them and he shot a 16. The grin on his face after all of the older gents congratulated him was priceless. Now he want to join the ATA and shoot, as he puts it (for real). Fun was had by all.

I forgot to mention there was a nice man named Joe that took the kids for a ride in his Viper, is was the highlight of their day.

Thanks Joe for giving my boys so much fun today... they even called their gradparents to tell them they rode "very fast" in a Viper.

My son is now also 13 and last year when he started shooting (12 then)I was so suprised at all the older experenced shooters that would help him. They just like focus on the younger shooters when they are on the line. It is a great sport for him.

Mark,

Very good shooting. 16 from the 27 is awesome. Heck, I only hit 13 from the 16 when I started this darn game.

Jerbear,
The lad has talent. He must take after his mom. LOL

Jerbear; Cherish and appreciate these days now because before you know it the boys will be grown. The best memories I have of trapshooting are the times I shot and traveled with my son. It is hard to believe that was 20+ years ago.

Have fun and enjoy the moment.
