I just ordered a new MX2000/3 (adjustable rib model) and want to know if it will fit in my Americase 3017 travel case. I called Americase and they said the 'depth' of the barrel compartment is 2-7/8" - will this barrel fit (i.e., can someone measure the bottom-of-lower-barrel-to-top-of-rib and tell me what hte measurement is).
Also, will a Perazzi adjustable comb stock fit in the stock compartment of this case? Americase said the top-to-bottom measurement of this area is 6-1/2" (although others have measured it at 5-7/8").
