What is the most "popular" Handicap yardage ?

Do people "work" their Handicap in order to squad with certain people ?

Can a punch be turned down ?

FlaLagarto, spinnerbaits are effective on winter Monday mornings. Instead of zipping it through the water on a 6.3:1, I believe that I would have "slow rolled" it through.

But wasn't clear on whether it was for golfers or trapshooters.

To answer your questions,
I think the majority of shooters are found from 20-24 yards.
Some 27 yard shooters stay back there to shoot with their buddies even though they shoot very poor scores.
No you cannot turn down a punch, you can turn down a yardage reduction though.
I think most clubs have trouble with 18 / 19 yard shooters.
