Subject: The Morton Automated Shell Catcher and Gas Operated Recoil Reducer (MASC-GORR).

Attn: Owners of Winchester Super X-1, Super X-2, and Browning Gold.

1. Tom Morton and Company is now accepting orders for the Morton Automated Shell Catcher and Gas Operated Recoil Reducer (MASC-GORR) for the following 12 Ga. autoloaders:
Winchester Super X-1
Winchester Super X-2
Browning Gold

2. Winchester Super X-1 MASC-GORR: This kit consists of a modified SX-1 Magazine Tube, a MASC-GORR Magazine Valve assembly, and step-by-step installation instructions. Installation is simply a matter of unscrewing the Magazine Tube from your receiver, installing the modified Magazine Tube provided in the kit, then reassembly of your gun in accordance with the Owner’s Manual and the provided information. Absolutely no drilling or fitting is required. Reverse the installation procedure, and your gun is back to the way it came from the factory. Introductory price is $125.00 post paid.

3. Winchester Super X-2: This kit consists of a modified stainless steel SX-2 Magazine Tube, a MASC-GORR Magazine Valve assembly, and step-by-step installation instructions. Installation is simply a matter of unscrewing the Magazine Tube from your receiver, installing the modified Magazine Tube provided in the kit, then reassembly of your gun in accordance with the Owner’s Manual and the provided information. Absolutely no drilling or fitting is required. Reverse the installation procedure, and your gun is back to the way it came from the factory. Introductory price is $135.00 post paid.

We ahd a local guy doing a version of this and it worked fine. You had to clean the inside of the magazine tube periodically, but never had to pick up a shell unless you shot 2, and then only one ejected.

Tom's version looks quite cleaned up and seems to be very trick.

In doubles mode, how far does it spit out the first hull? Won't the person on your right (and his P,K,___________fill in the blank gun) be incensed if your shell dings his gun?

When shooting doubles, when firing the first shot of a pair the empty hull usually falls at your feet, while the second hull stays in the chamber after it has been fired.

I have one of these on an 1100 trap T, It is teh recoil reducer not the shell catcher. the recoil reducer works great. Jeff
