Monk is one of a kind. If Kentucky wasn't such a long distance, I would go just to see Monk and "my Texas Squad mates".

The storm stayed north of Lubbock. Amarillo got three inchs of rain from a thunder storm and then three inch of snow accompanied by thunder and lighting. I wish I could go to Monk's. Jimmy Borum

I attended Monk's shoot this weekend, abit chilly early 35ish but warmed into the 60's. Best targets I shot all year, great food, shot the 150 pairs of doubles, placed 4-5th. Was only going to shoot the 100 singles and return home Sat night, was leading D class by 7 at days end soooo I round tripped back Sunday morn and shot the second half of singles and was rewarded with a shiney new buckle and met some really good folks to boot. Most enjoyable trap shoot of the year.
Hats off to Monk Palmer and crew, cooks, and all who helped make this weekend so enjoyable.
