OK I know there are alot more model 12's out there than this! Show us your BABY!
Ahab and Gary all your guns are beauties! I like the checkering patterns better than the one I have.

MGM, Did you sneak some SKEET guns in there? LOL They all look great!

Stu, I do not consider my possesion of these old guns ownership. I would rather enjoy considering it as stewardship. It is my job to restore or preserve them and then pass them on. jmho Bill

Interesting that originality is what makes a model 12's value what it is and only 2 of the guns pictured look to be are ALL original. That being the 2 skeet or superfield guns of MGM's (can't which tell in the pic) Pads changed, wood cut or replaced, refinishes, reblues. Nothing wrong with changes but it makes the originals worth that much more.

Thanks to Cubancigar for posting for me, mine is a Pigeon Grade from 1928 the gun belonged to a friend who passed away several years ago. It was one of a collection that he asked me to seel for his wife when he pased away. I sold 10 other Mod 12 trap guns that he had and his wife gave the one pictured to me. For selling the rest of his collection. Until I got the gun it was never fired. I love it and shoot it often and I think of my friend every time I look at it.

If it's not crass to ask.

Would any of you be interested in parting with a 12 gauge Model 12 trap in excellent working condition for use as my family's first trap gun.

I would want a pre-64 Model 12 that started its life as a trap gun and which has plenty of good shooting left in it without the need for an overhaul. I just learned about the critical importance of headspace today, and I am therefore hesitant to by sight unseen on GunBroker.

I trust the TS community not to sell me unsafe junk.

My needs are in this order:

1) Safety
2) Safety
3) Reliability
4) Fun

Good looks, fancy wood and rarity would be a definite detriment at this stage.

I think the gun I want is probably worth $1,200-$1,400, delivered. If this is an unreasonable low price please let me know so I can rethink my needs.

Lou
