What parts are different in a 3" gun vs a 2/34"

The Model 12 3" barrel is much heavier. This is in contrast to the 3" Model 21 barrel, which is identical to the standard 2 3/4" barrel.

the magazine band is grooved and is intergrel to only the 3" barrel. the carrier is also different on the underside to allow for clearnce for shell coming out of mag. tube. that was a great question. have a great holiday season howard

yes 3" barrels are thicker and are chambered longer towerd the forcing cone. most 3" barrels tend to have short forcing cone. howard

ejection port is milled longer on reciever to accomidite 3" shell.

Stocks are different sasquatch. Besides a little shorter, a gorgeous piece of swamp maple with a lead plug in it

Barrel on my 3" had enough metal to install Briley chokes. I think the standard 2 3/4 guns do not have enough metal for Briley chokes.

You'd be amazed at what Briley can put choke tubes in!

I know the barrel is thicker, also about the stock. I was wondering about the internal parts, ie.-bolt, firing pin, retractor, trigger asy., etc.
