I have broke 3 firing pins in my model 12 in less than one year and seems to

only happen in conpetition. I have bought new pins at several different

companies I am beginning to think there is more wrong with my gun than the

firing pin. Any suggestions on what to do next. I am loosing confidence in my

gun.Is she capable of being dependable??

You might want to check for wear where the bolt locks up in the receiver.

If it's worn the headspace increases.

I had a 31 Rem. that broke pins faster than I could replace them.

The above problem was mine.

I ran into a bad batch of firing pins when I was shooting a Model 12 all the time, seems they were over heat treated if there is such a thing ... I was replacing them about once every two weeks ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
