Decided to check the local WM for possible Remington or AA opportunities.

Found Rem Nitro 1 1/8oz, 1235, 8s on sale, albeit small volume of 8 boxes, for $4.00. With tax and then rebate, it will net to $2.30 per box. If I figure the hulls are worth 4 cents, that will net to $1.30 per box.

I bought a lot of the Nitro 1,235 7 1/2s, 10 of the 4-packs, to make it worth fooling with the rebate.

Don't want to be a pain, but by not seeing NITRO27 on the rebate form, I don't want to buy a bunch and find out I'm out of luck. Been down this path previously with Winchester and it didn't turn out very good.

From the link you provided above. You've got to go through the links to figure this out. I checked a couple of Nitro loads and saw them below. Remington and/or their marketing agency could have made this more clear with the rebate description and picture on the form.

The right tag does. The left tag is STS and the sku is for Nitro 27. Typical to see at Walmart, at least they are the same price. LOL
Yeah, that is all correct. I bought all the Federal Gold Medal that were in that space on the right, 4 boxes, and moved the Nitros over for the photo. The FGMs were the white hull version which I think was a rip off at the full price. At $4, it was a good buy. And, to the right of that was 20 gauge Estate Super Sport at $3 a box. In the grand scheme of things, saving $50 to $100 is always nice but not worth driving all around town for it.

I reload almost exclusively and i buy new only when the price is less than $5 a box for promo or $6 for a premium shell. I have inadvertently become a hoarder because I buy the new shells for the discounted/rebated price but I just keep on shooting my reloads. For instance, I still have 20 flats of the FGM brass/maroon shells that Walmart dumped at $4 then $2 a box two years ago. And, probably another 100 flats of AA and Remington, brass-base shells that I have accumulated during rebates and clearances. I just sold close to 100 flats of Remington Gun Clubs to my local club, at what I paid ($4 on avg.), because the club could not get re-supplied due to COVID and they’ve reopened. They sold them for $7 per box. I have given away a lot of Supremas to new shooters that I paid maybe $1 or $2 per box. Still have a bunch of those left.

My reloads are 1oz and cost $4.25/box in materials. I simply prefer reloading.
