I just ran into an interesting problem with a fairly new MEC Sizemaster in 20 Ga. The rammer tube (Part #35C) is about 1/2" in diameter until roughly 1/8" from the end that goes into the wad. There it is swaged down somewhat. The rammer tube from my older 20 Ga. 600 JR is swaged down beginning about 3/4" from the end. The older 600 JR seats the Claybuster 0175-20 wads just fine, and withdraws smoothly after I drop the #9 shot. But the rammer on the newer Sizemaster pulls the wad back out of the hull (Win AAHS as well as Remington) both empty and full of shot. Has anyone else run into this problem? If so, how was it solved? MEC no longer has the older rammer tubes with the thinner ends, so maybe someone out there has one they could sell me or trade? Many thanks, Ed
