Sorry if this is the wrong thread..
I recently purchased a stripped Marlin receiver and I am trying to identify it. Still not sure if I want to bring this back to shooting condition or not (Not sure if it would be worth rebuilding). I've looked up the serial number and it shows it was made in 1891, but that's all the information I can find. I do not know what model it is or what calibers etc..
I was hoping that someone on here could help me identify it. I've looked for other marks on it, but all I can find is the serial number on the lower and upper tang, and Marlin Safety on the tope of the receiver. No other information. I assume if it had a barrel on it, I could probably figure it out.
