Please let me add:

Went to the trap range, shot made in Peru, guns made in Germany, Italy & Japan.
And where are Cheddite primers made? I believe France. Rios are made perhaps in our 51st State - Mexico. You're right, sad. Darrell

I've always thought our labor was probably too high, but that starts arguments and don't want to go there.....again. What about our tariff laws? Trade agreements?

Samsonite lugage,

right after NAFTA, moved there operations from from the Tucson International Airport location, to Mexico. At the time saying that the lower wage in Mexico would allow them to lower the prices on thier product and be more competitive.

Three or four price increases later they filed bankruptcy.

Ford Motor Corp. opened a plant in Mexico citing the lower wages and PROMISING the savings would be passed along to the comsumer. The next model year the prices of the models made in Mexico, went up the same amount as the models made in this country. So did they make extra profit, or are the lower wages a false promise that costs everyone in the end?

Wasn't it the Democrats, mainly Slick Willie, who proposed and passed the NAFTA, that has created so many job losses and plant closings in the U.S.? Don't look now, but guess what party is in control now.

As FDR's chief flunky and gofer, Harry Hopkins, is supposed to have bragged after the 1936 election, "Tax, tax, tax, spend, spend, spend, elect, elect, elect.".

The American public gets what it deserves. The great American citizen is willing to gladly accept "Federal funds, state funds, local funds" while having not a clue that these are weasel words for "Your tax money coming back to you less 50% for graft, corruption, waste, and inefficiency."
