I have a S&X M&P 45 pistol with a terrible trigger. I am looking to find a good pistolsmith who can make the trigger smoother and lighter. I was told that Burwell is one of the best pistolsmiths for this work, but it appears he may be extremely overworked. Is there another pistolsmith who is good with this type of work? If so, who?

What brands of handguns have good trigger pulls? I like the M&P models but not the triggers. I believe you can buy a trigger kit at Midway USA that may help.

For what its worth,lock the slide back and pull the trigger,if it smooths out its a little crud in the button under the rear sight.Slide out the sight (slowly) and clean it out.I got lucky and shot some gun-blaster in the button hole and manually worked up and down for a while and a large metal shaving popped out,without removing the sight.

I shoot a lot of USPSA pistol competitions. Everyone shooting the M&P's are using the apex kits. They are by far the way to go for that gun.
