Hi:
Came into a Lyman Easy Reloader. Like many of these it is missing parts.
Specifically, I need the wad insertion tube and the crimp starter.
I should be able to modify a working crimp stater using one from another maker.
Some idea of size would help.
The crimp starter is another story.
I have a lathe to make the aluminum tube, but need inside and outside dimensions.
Anyone have one of these machines and can accurately measure the crimp starter tube?

I have one in 20ga.

I threw it all in the scrap pile just yesterday. I think it was complete, but I didn't sort through all the parts that came with it.

You can have it all and measure it yourself if you pay shipping.

I have a an old herters in 12 ga that is based on the same principal, I can send you those tube dimensions.

So, not sure what gauge your question is about but I have some old reloaders and the crimp tubes measure as follows:
20 ga ID .695"/OD 1.065"/.185" wall thickness aluminum
12 ga ID .805/OD 1.015"/.105" wall thickness plastic

I'd never seen one until I got the one I just tossed. It came to me as part of a package deal - to me, it was not worth the cost of shipping. The bushings seem to be a bas***d size - not like p-w or hornady.

I got 8 or 10 bushings with it, most are made of steel.

To someone who wants to load a few turkey loads, experiment, or low volume whatever - it's a bargain. It will work as well as any single stage.
