My brother-in-law has an 870 that needs the chamber polished. He lives in Cleveland, OH. I would to direct him to a good gunsmith in the area.
Thanks

take the barrel off- put it in a vise- get an electric drill and a cleaning rod

Put a mop on the rod- with 00 steel wool and some car rubbing compound on it

Turn on and run moving back and forth for about a minute ( be patient)

Inspect

turn on again

If that doesnt work you might want to forget the idea of polishing any more out

If it does- you save 40 dollars in gas- some time and 75 buck in labor on a barrel that is probably only worth $100

regards from Iowa
