Using Redot powder, Clay buster wad for 1 1/8 oz and #8 shot.
Looking for a good recipe for shooting trap. Anyone have any favorites that have proven themselves?

I use promo (same as red dot) I like somewhere around 18 grains for capps and 17 grains for 16's. Also you might want to try 1 ounce of shot with 16 and 17 grains of powder, it will do the job!

17.5 grains of red dot with oz and eighth of 7.5's is a great load for singles! w209 primers cb 1118 wads. Used it with good results for years.

Go to the Alliant website. All the Red Dot formulas there work fine and are safe.
