Not sure IF I am in the correct forum....

I would like to read-up on some of the Locking System that come with different O/U shotguns.

I have a Perazzi and have owned an SKB and Ruger's Red Label

Just looking to educate myself on different mechanisms, and reading can be helpfull

Perazzi uses a Boss lock-up system, SKB uses a Greener Crossbolt, not sure about a Red Label. You can google Boss & Greener for more info. John

Ruger uses two pins that lock into the mono block similar to the Beretta system.

Krieghoff K80 and Model 32, Remington 32 and 3200, Valmet, Valmet/Savage use a sliding hood attributed to Patrick who designed the Damon-Patrick O/U in the 1920's.
