Remington 1100, 28" Mod.
Patterns are awesome.
Don't let these na sayers deter you.
It's a fallacy!
I’ll give it a try in my IFG FAIR ILX600 Mod Comp-N-Choke. I have a few other 28’s sent in for warranty work.

I found another reloader with great information (tested data) with Larger Steel (1’s) and TSS 7’s for geese. Lots of options for velocity 1400-1500fps. I may try his data with Steel 2’s as well.

My field results with Bismuth 4’s or 3.5’s (Rotometals and copper plated) have been great Load options for killing large geese. Always looking to add to my load options and put it to paper and use in the field.

thanks again!

Does anybody know where I can find a source for load data for tungsten shot in a 28ga load? I have searched and have come up empty. I hesitate to buy one of the subgauge load manuals just for this, as using tungsten shot seems to be fairly new and these manuals are not updated and published yearly that I've seen.
Any luck in loading, testing, or shooting?
Weather has been bad here and I need to get some rounds patterned

The Very Best 28ga TSS Load I've Seen To Date.

Federal 28ga - Hull
Win.209 - Primer
29.0 gr Lil Gun - Powder
7/8 oz. # 7 1/2 18g TSS - Shot
TPS 28 w/1/2" cork .410 Spacer in the bottom - Wad
9,500 PSI - 1,420 FPS

Foot Note: Do not over choke! Pattern in your gun to acquire best results.
These are 5/8oz and 7/8oz loads of tss 8’s. Both are with 27grain of

2.5” Roll Crimped Hulls on the 5/8oz loads

2.75” Fold Crimp on the 7/8oz TSS

both will work for targeting geese. Shot off hand, windy conditions (too windy to chrono), mod Choke (comp n choke) in a semi auto Tristar.
