The ACTIV hulls are very volumus. So you powder choice is excellent. If you already have it. I use(have) Clay Dot And generally this wad.

7/8-1&1/8 loads

 

I have tons of once fired active hulls. I have been loading them for years. They are a straight wall hull. I load them with Federal recipes, and they perform very well.

 

Just to keep it on the level , the Activ hulls are a tapered hull. Cut one open and check it out. The hull has lots of volume compared to the other tapered hulls due to its minimal base wad, and straight wall hull recipes work very well with them. We also load a few different awesome steel duck loads with the activ hulls in both 2-3/4 and 3" and I agree some Federal data works great in both.
