Like the title says; I am needing to know what a like new in box 1100 G3 would be worth? I am looking at one and need to know what it should be worth. It has a 28inch barrel with choke tubes.

The 1100 G3 reminds me of A ford escort "GT". The G3 is just a 1100 with nickle/teflon coating inside and some sort of Titanium coating on the reciever. Also the stock is carbonfiber realtree laminated. ProBore choke only.
I think remington missed the market on this one? It also should come with 5 chokes and a hard fitted case. I have been seeing them on gunsamerica and gunbroker for 1k new. Also I believe the only make up to 28" barrel in the probore? I have wondered if a good old 30" trap barrel would fit. One club shooter has one but does not shoot enough to give the coatings a fair judgement. 1100s are hard to wear out normally. A gun like this is a "want" factor. If you "want" it just shy of retail will make you happy. looking for a "trap" gun you could find a use 1100 trap tricked out a bit for the same money. When I shouldered one at KTP it felt light and whippy. good for the field maybe, but I would buy a 11 87 sportsman for half the money for the field. The WANT factor is a curse. I will be picking up a AR 15 S&W MP-T model. Dont need it, wont shoot it much, definatly not a steal or bargin. Just want it. To get new right now I would have to wait many weeks.
