pedro,

I have a black and grey laminated blank large enough to do two complete guns that I will never use. If interested, I could dig it out and send you a couple of pictures.

Chip,

Most of the inletting is done but a small amount of wood will need to be removed around the receiver to make it fit well. Also, the stock will need final sanding and will need to be cut to the correct length.

A Dremel tool will do a fair job of the final inletting but small chisels will do a much better job. And then, there is a LOT of sanding to do before you are ready to fill the wood grain and put a finish on it.

It is a lot of work but you can save a lot of money compared with having Wenig do every thing for you. For extra money, you can also have the stock made to your choice of dimensions to end up with a well fitting custom stock (assuming you chose the right dimensions).

Wenig calls these stocks, "do it yourself" stocks as I recall.
