Kriegoff K-80 Barrel Hangers??

I am new to this K-80 business and have a lot to learn. On the O/U barrel which I prefer for singles, the under barrel has a POI of 15" with the comb at the lowest position. Nothing wrong with that but I have to raise the comb when I shoot the unsingle barrel to get the same POI. I understand the POI on the O/U set can be changed with barrel hangars. Can someone please explain. Thanks, Rich

Sarge, It's easier for me to change the comb. Comb or rib, if I use the unsingle barrel I have to adjust something. That's what I am trying to get away from. Rib is in uppermost position with O/U barrel.

Assuming that you want all barrels to shoot to the same POI, the recommended method for setting up a K-80 is as follows:
Install the o/u barrels on the gun and shoot the top barrel, adjusting the comb until the desired POI is achieved. Now shoot the bottom barrel - if the bottom barrel does not shoot to the same point as the top barrel, you will need th change the barrel hanger. Barrel hangers are numbered (look at the side of the hanger for the number) with smaller numbers indicating a higher POI while larger numbers will shoot lower.
The final step is to install the unsingle barrel and after shooting it, adjust the rib to bring the POI to the same place as the o/u barrels.
Once you have gone through this process, all barrels will shoot to the same POI.

make sure you loosen the middle hanger when changing hangers, re-tighten when hanger installed. It's possible to fiddle with the middle hanger and pry the bbls. apart, but when you make the bottom shoot higher that way, it will bend the top bbl down somewhat.
