Hey everyone!
I hope you’re all having a great day! I just got a voicemail from Janine from Krieghoff saying they will not be attending the Grand American this year. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.
Safe travels

To add some context to this Krieghoff had already gone through considerable planning to *try* and attend the grand to support their shooters including renting a mobile building onsite and finding lodging for staff and gunsmiths. Recently, Missouri was added to the Pennsylvania quarantine list making it impossible to legally send employees to Missouri.

Yes, mandatory 2 week quarantine if you pretty much go anywhere outside of PA. I doubt Krieghoff wants to put that many gunsmiths on leave for 2 weeks.

PA State Travel Advisory - If you have traveled, or plan to travel, to an area where there are high amounts of COVID-19 cases, it is recommended that you stay at home for 14 days upon return to Pennsylvania. If you travel to the following states, it is recommended that you quarantine for 14 days upon return:
Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Wyoming. Source: Travelers

“Recommended” LOL!

As far as I’m concerned, no Trapshooters in Pennsylvania are aware of any Trapshooters traveling from Pennsylvania to Missouri for the Grand American..... none whatsoever ;)

If you go to Missouri to shoot the Grand American, you are supposed to quarantine 14 days at home.

You can still go, you just have to be OK with a quarantine. I doubt they can enforce it but those are rules. Workplaces are probably the only people that can enforce it if they find out.

It’s amazing the tunnel vision that some government officials have.
In Missouri if you stay out of the St Louis area it’s hard to find very many confirmed cases of COVID.
Camden county (Linn Creek) has reported 225 positive cases to date and supposedly 4 deaths.
Believe what you will about the actual cause of death.

The issue is that if you are SUPPOSED to be under self quarantine, don't, and infect someone else, they are going to come back on you, legally and financially.

Hope you all don't see a spike up after the shoot.

And if you don't quarantine after returning to PA....it would be impossible to prove that you actually caught the Covid in the state you visited, and not from some local in the grocery store.

Stupid rules for stupid political purposes.
