Where can I get a finish like Krieghoff and Kolar put on their factory guns? I'm thinking about getting a new finish put on my Guerini.

If so contact Doug Breaker, he did a super job refinishing my 90T.

You ought to first try a mild rubbing compound or any automotive polish. You might be surprised how glossy it turns out. If it is an oil finish, use Murphy's Oil Soap on it first.

Krieghoff actually has instructions in their owner's manuals for DULLING the finish.

Most of Krieghoff's stuff is a satin, or a mix of the high gloss and satin. I have the finish that they use, it's actually a sprayed two part lacquer. At least it use to be, I don't think they have changed what they use. If you want a high gloss go with a urethane finish. Kolar does most of theirs in a high gloss auto urethane. Kolar probably does the best finishes of all the top makers. Larry

The Kolar finish is quite durable too. Once a year I polish mine with Renaissance wax... Art

I do them all the time but I'm backed up for about 1 1/2 months average cost is $300 if recutting the checkering is required add another $125-175.
