My Max T/A needs the forend piece tightened up. Does anybody have any suggestions short of me sending the gun back to Kolar. Any comments would be appreciated.

You can take the half moon shoe out, flip it over, and put it back in. This may or may not help, and may or may not be temporary, but it's worth a shot.

Short of that, unless you can fabricate your own replacement shoe, you need to send it in.

Goose, what piece do you mean? The insert that tightens up against the " hook" of the barrel lug? The forend shoe?Or something different? If it's the shoe, cal Keith at Kolar and he can get you the next size larger.

Goose. Partailly wrap the lug with alum foil. that will snug it up. Keep a tweezers or pick handy to remove it should it fall off and stick in the forend metal.
