You can remove the ejector trip rods from the receiver. This will allow the ejectors to rise to the same height as an unfired gun.

Removing the ejector sears, located in the forend iron, will allow the ejectors to rise to the height of a fired gun.(I suggest removing the trip rods also)

Setting the ejectors up to work with one set of bbl's and not the other, cannot be done without permenantly altering the ejector.
