I sent him my K80 in mid August to have a regular service done, and to lighten the trigger pulls a bit. I still haven't heard from him and it is starting to worry me a little bit. I love that gun and hope that he hasn't had any problems with it. I know he is a very popular gunsmith and so probably very busy, but he seems to have done your work very quickly.
Call Karl - he is very reachable - his website lists his phone number

Been having trouble setting the release on my K 80 TS as of late. I thought that it was me with the old mental block syndrome until the trigger froze so that it could not be set or released. I sent the receiver to Karl and had it back in less than a week. Apparently it was a broken spring. His charge was less than the shipping cost. I couldn't let that stand and gave him a different amount , enough so that he could take his wife out to dinner on me. Karl is not only a fine gunsmith, he is also an equally fine gentleman, and a pleasure to do business with.

Yes I took your advice and called him. I really didn't want to because I felt like it would be bugging him. He said he had been traveling and had just got home, and would be working on guns that were there in his shop. Hopefully not too much longer.

I’m heading to Utah in Oct so I might bring the K80 for a checkup. Thanks
Better call him first. He goes to Arizona when the temperature drops in both Utah and Arizona. He might not be in Utah when you go in October. He may be in Tucson. I had to mail him my K80 because I didn't want to wait for him to return to Arizona.

He is quite good with K-guns. In January he spent a week at the Krieghoff factory in PA getting re-trained on all their guns by their #1 gunsmith.
