EAST GRANBY, Conn. -- Hartford Gun club will sponsor the 9th Annual George Kaplan Cup shoot at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 5, at the club grounds here.
Sixteen-yard singles and handicap will each be 100 targets and shot on three banks of two fields each. Doubles, 50 pair, will be shot on a separate field, open to shooters all day. There will also be a practice field.
Five classes in singles -- AA, A, B,C,D -- each will shoot for $100, 60-40 high gun, ties split, with a Lewis Class option. Singles entries close at 10 a.m.
Handicap, in four yardage groups, will each shoot for $125, divided 60-40 high gun, ties split, also with a Lewis Class option. Handicap entries close at 1 p.m.
You must shoot in both singles and handicap to qualify for the Kaplan Cup.
Doubles will consist of four classes, A,B,C,D,each shooting for $25, high gun, ties split.
