I have a M 32 and two K 80s. Trigger on the M 32 is original but in every way that I can compare it FEELS equal to the K 80s except I like the curve of the trigger blade on the K 80.

What functionable or durability advantages does the K 80 offer?

What is the cost to convert the M32 trigger (pull pull) to K 80 upgrades?
Is it worth the expense?

Thanks, Marc

My K32 trigger did fail me. After two trips to the gunsmith it was fixed, that being said I made the switch to a K80 trigger. I did a complete K80 upgrade, coil springs, trigger blade and larger axle. Went to Allems to get it done. Got it back yesterday..$2200. Ottsville Krieghoff might be a better deal. The curved trigger sure feels better to me. If anyone needs a complete K32 trigger I have a deal for you. Lol

Briley does a trigger blade conversion for a couple hundred $, they machine off your trigger blade and install a curved, adjustable trigger blade. They've done 2 for me, quoted 6 weeks turn around but I had them back in less than 3 weeks.

The curved trigger sure feels better . I did that to my M32 about 12 years ago & while the gunsmith was at it replaced the cocking rod for the lower barrel ,one spring + trigger guard so I could use K 80 wood. I did not nearly spend 2,2 K for that

Anything mechanical can fail. I know of K80 triggers that have failed also. My point is "if it ain't broke don't fix it!"

If you insist on spending the bucks and want a genuine K80 trigger in your Krieghoff purchase a used k80 receiver and iron from about 1991 and newer which gets you the sear springs, hammers and other upgrades and sell your k32 receiver and iron to offset cost, it will come out to about the same or less money spent for a true update on the 32. Just purchased a 1991 K80 receiver and iron on here for 3k, and have purchased others as new as 1999 for less than 3 k. Sell the k32 rec @ iron for 1200-1500 and you can be in a k80 for as little as $1500. Takes a little time, effort and patience but a very worthwhile move. Otherwise save your money and enjoy your 32, it will last a lifetime and more.

Yup...that is great advice. But I do like the blued 32.

There are multiple reasons why Krieghoff changed the trigger over the years. K80 triggers have evolved over the years also. I chose the K80 upgrades that gave me the most reliability, hopefully, that fit my budget. I could have spent more than $2200. I literally got my gun back yesterday. I will shoot it today....TURKEY Shoot tonight at the club. Have to get there early to find a parking spot.

I have 2 m-32 K guns with the original triggers. I just focus on the target and not on the trigger and turn the target into a puff ball. Great shooting guns.
Exactly. But when you want take the second shot in doubles and the trigger won't move, than as they say-Houston we have a problem. And than you start flinching cuz your gun doesn't go bang. Well off to the smith it goes.

Release it?, been shooting clays for 47 years. lol
According to the gunsmith a $11 piece was preventing the trigger to travel forward after the first shot, a clearance issue I think he said. I could push it forward and it might work. It worked fine after the last trip to the local gunsmith, he ordered the part from Krieghoff and installed. I was getting ready to start the harvest season and knew the gun would be sitting in the safe so decided on the upgrade.
As you can see in my avatar, I also shoot a P gun. I have had the K32 since 1992, over the years I added a K80 bbl, it was longer than my 32 bbl, K80 wood and K80 trigger guard. So after the trigger mishap, I applied the money I would have spent getting an annual service towards a K 80 trigger. Only 32 part left is the receiver, which is blued. The 32 trigger obviously worked fine for me for many years. It had been serviced a few times.

The point was, the OP asked about the cost. I just happened to have gotten mine done at Allem's and received it yesterday. I asked for the most reliable upgrades from Krieghoff. $2200 later it is back and seems to work great.

I am in the Ag business and have a lot of equipment that cost a heck of a lot more than ANY gun on this forum or any forum. And sometimes that equipment breaks down and has to be upgraded. A gun is no different.
