BigBill: I believe the K-80 RT trigger groups have an undeserved reputation as being a problem. I shot one for several years with a double release group and my Son has recently been shootting it with a pull/pull group. Haven't had any problem with either one. After a rather lengthy search I located and purchased spare trigger groups for this gun and, as of this date, never had a reason to use either one.
I believe any problems with these triggers were from adjustments or conversions by unqualified gunsmiths or "fine-tuning" by shooters who thought they could improve on the factory triggers.
As you may know or will find out these trigger groups are rather scarce.
If I wanted or needed another K-80 RT I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to buy another one and, in fact, some of these guns may be purchased at an attractive price due to their reputation regarding trigger problems. My suggestion is that if you can find a factory double release buy it.
If you find a less expensive one built by Norbert there may be no problem. As far as a gunsmith for working on Krieghoffs, Norbert's reputation is one of the best.
If you have any additional questions e-mail me and I'll try to help.
Hope no one minds me coming on board to sell my Krieghoff RT combo. 34" unsingle and 32" O/U fixed chokes, with gra-coil, adjustable comb, and americase.
Asking $7500 plus shipping. I would rate it at 95%.

Thanks, and my apologies if I have offended anyone.
