Does anyone have comments on an Etchen 687 unsingle trap combo? I`m thinking about buying one & would appreciate some imput from owners of this gun. Thanks in advance, Bob
I don't own or shoot one of the Etchen combo's, but for the money they seem hard to beat. I do shoot a 687 eell combo and love the gun and the way it move. Kinda like a poor man's P-gun.
Great gun for the money. Quality is excellent and the gun shoots like a charm. One of the best gun purchases I've made and their customer service is awesome. Matt from JEG was a pleasure to deal with.
I have the unsingle combo and my son has the top single combo. I think they are the best buy in trapshooting - shoot soft, hit hard and look pretty nice, too.
The wood's the real deal. Here's my Turkish walnut EELL-grade factory stock with a buffalo horn pistol grip extension and an adjustable recoil pad adapter added.
When our son got his top single in 2005, I thought it was the softest-shooting gun I had ever shot. His wood is standard-grade, which is still attractive.
I liked so much that I bought the unsingle combo for myself in 2008.
Dollar for dollar the best bang for the buck. Even a better value if you get the EELL wood upgrade. A buddy of mine shoots one and it is just a great all around gun in that price range. I was all set to buy one until I was browsing/admiring one day and picked up a Blaser for the heck of it.
I bought the top single combo the second year they were for sale. (did not offer unsingle at that time) It has been a great gun. I would like to shoot an unsingle just to compare to my top single.
Guys, thanks to all of you for your comments & quick replies. It looks like I`ll be spending money tomorrow, but now I can spend it with more confidence. Thanks again.... Bob
I picked up a gently used one. This one had a three barrel set, O/U at 32", Unsingle at 34" and Single Upper at 34". Shoots great. Soft, nice gun. I have about 5K rounds thru it mostly in the unsingle barrel. Once dialed in it is a very good shotgun.

I have one JEC and a 682 Gold E combo. Beside the looks they are the same gun.
The JEC is the best buy out there with the EELL wood.
My wife shoots it and will never get ride of it. I agree with her.
