SOLD--The Ithaca NID (New Ithaca Double) was the last model of the great Ithaca SxS's and only about 45,000 were made between 1926 and 1948. They are noted for their strength and ability to use modern shotshells. This gun is a mid-1930's gun serial number 463871. To many, this vintage is the best of the NID's with good, shootable stock dimensions and an attractive action w/o the cocking indicators. In 16 gauge, I'd call this the perfect all around double barrel shotgun. It is totally original and comes with two sets of 28 inch barrels. One set is bored ic and mod and marked 1 & 2, and the other is bored mod and full and marked 2 & 4, both as they should be. The open barrels have a real ivory front sight and the tight set has a brass bead. No middle sights on either set. The gun has the original Ithaca trademark Sunburst pad which is still pliable and useful. It's a double trigger, extractor gun. Bores and mechanics are excellent with top lever well right. I'd rate the finish at 85% blue and 75% wood. Good trigger guard blue. Case colors have turned brownish except in protected areas. The screws are not buggered up. It's tight and on face. Great stock dimensions at 14 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 2 3/4 inches. Suitable for any bird or small game hunting and a fun clays gun. Not a mint gun but certainly very good overall and sure to please at $1395 delivered in the lower 48. This is a "best buy" in an American double 16 with 2 sets of barrels.

Great gun at a great price, this should sell in no time.

A lot of guys could take a lesson from Boomer on displaying, marketing, and pricing a gun to sell.

Good luck Boomer
