A member of our club has a mint Ithaca 4E that his father gave him many years ago. He brings out of the safe and shoots it a few times a year primarily for nostalga. About a year ago, something in the cocking mechanism broke. He took it to a local smith and it lasted about 10 shots and broke again. He took it to another smith with and came up with similar results.
He does not want to make it his main trap gun but would like to have it properly repaired and functional. Any recommendations on a good Gunsmith to repair the 4E would be appreciated.
